Nibble on a Nest

Hey Loves!

Back at it with another edible activity! Who doesn't love a good time that can be eaten afterwards??

Materials:

  1. Rice Krispies

  2. Jellybeans

  3. Cupcake/Muffin baking tin

  4. Cooking Spray/ Butter

  5. Peeps (optional)

Directions:

  1. Rice Krispy treats. You can make them from scratch or buy the premade ones. I used the pre-made ones and heated them up a bit so the kids and I could mold them as we wanted. For a more in-depth experience, homemade might be a better fit.

  2. Place the rice krispies in the cupcake tins

  3. put them in the fridge for about an hour to allow time for hardening

  4. Pop them out of the cupcake tines and the shape should hold.

  5. Place a few jelly beans inside and viola! You have a birds nest

* for some added fun, this activity can be paired with a short bird read aloud and some peeps (the snack) to add the fake bird to the fake next. *

Catch you around! Save a bite for me!

Sincerely,

a Tip-Filled Teacher
